From Nonno

Nonno means Grandpa in Italian, and it is what Dahlia calls my Dad.
I love watching them together - they both clearly get so much out of their connection to each other.
He's been coming to SF once a week to spend a morning with Dahlia at the park before taking her to school.
Last week he brought her strawberries with lemon and sugar, like he used to make for me and Sharon.

I look forward to seeing Tikva with her Nonno.

He shared this with me yesterday:

"earlier today i turnned my tv and there were some ballerinas dancing with their white tutu.... i closed my eyes and saw little tikva with her curly dark hair dancing...

keep this email for a few years...... you can file it in "i told you so..."
love
N"

Your lips to God's ears, Nonno.

(This photo is from last June, on Father's Day which also happened to be my birthday, just before we left for Israel.)
